Bi-lingual Training Video Producer
Challenge:
Create a Safety Orientation video to supplement the in-person training session that superintendents lead for each new employee on a construction site. The video must cover specific categories required by OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Administration) and meet accuracy and compliance standards. To accommodate more users, the video must be accessible for English and Spanish speakers, and all content must appear as text on screen in addition to being clearly audible. Lastly, as an introduction to the construction management team’s company culture, the branding and style must match style conventions (logos, fonts, colors) and convey the company’s core values such as Integrity and Fun.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with client to identify goals and content requirements.
Design production plan and negotiate budget.
Create storyboard from script.
Shoot on location, directing client representatives and collecting examples of safety procedures.
Gather additional assets from client’s photo archive (the majority of which are photographs I have taken over the past few years).
Coordinate studio shoot for speaking roles.
Set up, direct and shoot in-studio segments.
Create video projects in Adobe Premiere and edit videos.
Design title cards and additional text-based graphics in Photoshop.
Adapt timing, captions, and title cards for Spanish-language version.
Secure stock image and audio licenses.
Work with facilitating communications agency staff to refine videos.
Deliver final video files.
